We’ll hear from the critics later today about what they thought about the food at Paris Club, but Mike Sula starts off the conversation with a more lingering issue. Namely, does the restaurant smell? Loads of people have mentioned the odor, which Sula describes as a “strong, slightly sweet funk.” For what it’s worth, Mike Gebert tweeted that the smell was like “slightly burnt brussels sprouts, but not overtly like merde.” Even the Paris Club publicist, Kathleen Henson, confirmed that there is a “section of the floor in the bar that hadn’t been properly treated.” At least it has nothing to do with that gas issue a few weeks ago.
