Big bummer for the hop-heads who came out to see Angel City Brewing’s new Downtown beer garden last weekend. According to the brewery, the beer garden was shut down on Friday night due to that old hospitality bugaboo, permits. Yep, apparently there was confusion about the proper paperwork, though the brewery insists everything is legal. Currently, the Angel City crew is trying to make sure everything is in order for a debut of that new beer garden this Friday. Now word on how many free beers you get if you showed up to an empty lot this last weekend, but we’d suggest the bidding start with at least one. [Earlier]
