L.A. locations of Whole Foods have joined the “Meatless Mondays” movement, offering three spot-lit vegan dishes and accompanying sides every Monday at a discounted rate. The menus will change every month, with dishes planned through May like kung pao tofu and vegan antipasto during February and Gardein rosemary walnut breast and sweet chili tofu in April. Doesn’t sound like the carnivores will pounce on this, robbing vegans of their chance, but “discount” and “Whole Foods” could prove too tempting for some shoppers to resist. [Quarry Girl]
