What to Eat and Drink at Campanula, Opening Tonight

The newest entry on the North Beach scene is Campanula (701 Union Street), which opens tonight in the former Iluna Basque spot. This is a second venture from the owners of Frascati, Jon and Rebecca Rader, and chef Mike Pawlik. As we noted earlier, the name (which means “little bell in Latin”) is inspired by the church bells that ring out regularly in the neighborhood, and the menu is more tapas-y than Frascati, with an emphasis on charcuterie and meat.
