Just as word arrived that Top Chef will be casting for season nine — as well as its sweet spinoff, Top Chef Just Desserts — at Center City’s Sofitel on March 2, the rumor mill started churning with news that two “well-known” chefs with a “history together” have already been tapped for the show. Among the dozens of chefs that come to mind, the two that would bring the most drama to the show are Aimee Olexy and Bryan Sikora, the former husband and wife team that were behind Talula’s Table, and are simultaneously working on restaurants just a few blocks apart. There’s also Meritage’s Anne Coll and Sampan’s Michael Schulson, who both held down the kitchen at Susanna Foo. Fond’s Lee Styer and Bibou’s Pierre Calmels who both held stints at Le Bec-Fin. Adsum’s Matt Levin and Noble’s Brinn Sinnott who worked side-by-side at Lacroix. Bistrot La Minette’s Peter Woolsey and newly appointed Vetri chef de cuisine Adam Leonti, who did time together at bygone Striped Bass. Think you know who the chefs are?
