This being San Francisco, the Costco in the middle of the city is crowded most days not only with thrifty Asian restaurant owners and ambitious housewives with law degrees, but also by a fair chunk of the stoned and under-employed, stocking up for the apocalypse on cheese and ramen. It’s fitting then that SF Weekly devotes their “Best Practices” column this week to the ins and outs of navigating Costco while high. The first destination upon entry: Electronics. “What you wanna do here is find the biggest TV, change the channel to the Food Network, and just relax for three to four hours; whatever feels right. When you grow tired of watching Paula Deen eat sticks of butter, it’s time to move on.” From there, it’s time to drop a grand on stereo equipment, garlic bread, sheet cake, and cleaning products.
