Back in December when Grub Street noted that the longtime Bella Vista spot Vesuvio had closed due to renovations upstairs and the owners hoped to reopen “eventually,” we never suspected that comeback would come so quickly. Little Bar opened this past weekend inside what was once part of the Vesuvio space, Zagat reports. The new bar, which is indeed little and separated from the rest of its predecessor’s space by a wall, features a new vibe that’s more sophisticated and less sports-bar-esque. Owner Michael D’Addesi the makeover is meant to attract a more diverse crowd, including what the piece refers to as “folks who might be strolling from nearby gayborhood.” [Zagat]
