News surfaced last month that the Vendys-endorsed Souvlaki GR food truck would open a brick-and-mortar location at 116 Stanton Street, and today brings confirmation. This morning we found the former dry cleaner's French doors open to the street and glimpsed the whitewashed, blue-accented dining room, still very much under construction. Co-owner Pavlos Sierros told us that he expects the 45-seat eatery to debut March 2 or 3. The spot will serve lunch and dinner, and will stay open till midnight during the week and till 2 a.m. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The menu will be pretty much the same selection of kebabs, pitas, and fries, though they're "adding some things," including beer and Greek wine.
