Paper reports that next week, Felipe Mendez of La Superior will soft-open Cantina Royal, a “Mexico City-style bistro” in the former Monkey Town space at 58 North 3rd Street. It’ll boast sixteen varieties of homemade salsa, 25 tequilas, and a back room for D.J. parties. Meanwhile, Michael Chernow tells the Brooklyn Paper that the Meatball Shop’s Williamsburg location may serve till 4 a.m. on weekends when it opens in May.
