Following last year’s sudden, steady outpour of love for L.A. in national magazines, Condé Nast Traveler drops a feature in their March issue titled “27 Reasons to Love L.A. Now.” Surprisingly, our pizza nearly tops the list, although granted, in a quote from the singer of Maroon 5, who calls Mozza2Go “the greatest invention of all time.” Elsewhere, Pal Cabron’s Bricia Lopez gives a shout to Las Perlas and La Descarga (both of which have drinks named after her), humorist Joel Stein bigs up Yamashiro’s farmer market (closed until April), Gustavo Dudamel praises Red O’s “amazing Mexican food” (right above Bayless bane Bill Esparza), and Roy Choi dishes on his favorite spicy Korean soup at Hong Kong Ban Jum. We might disagree that an Ed Hardy store and the “upscale restaurants” are the best part of the new Santa Monica Place, but it’s always nice to see more love spread to the West Coast.
