Longman & Eagle isn’t the first Chicago restaurant to team up with Goose Island to create a house brew, but it might have come up with the best name. Tonight the acclaimed Logan Square restaurant will be releasing Pork Soda, a Belgian Double IPA which is being described as “golden in color with big bright citrus flavors that balance the Belgian yeast.” You can get a taste of it tonight at the restaurant’s “Night Moves” event series. It is being paired with a “Becker Lane Pork Chop,” served with “Shrimp & Black Pepper Sauce, Hushpuppies and Bacon Braised Greens.” That’s all going for $25, and you can get it by the glass for $8. Also, Jim Colombo, a friend of Goose Island’s, created a video documenting the making of the beer, which you can check out below.
