First Look at Ditch Plains, Bringing Buffalo-Shrimp Po Boys to the Upper West Side
Marc Murphy got the Budd Mishkin treatment this past week and told him, “I have never wanted our restaurants to be hot I open restaurants for the people around us.” On March 1, he’ll be opening a new location of Ditch Plains for the good people of the Upper West Side. Murphy and his executive chef Frank Proto have added a few dishes to the menu here: deviled eggs with fried oysters; a snapper seviche with coconut milk, jalapeño, and cilantro; and a regularly changing po boy special (check out the buffalo-shrimp one in our slideshow). On the cocktail side, the Bodhi’s Revenge (tequila, agave syrup, Frank’s Red Hot, OJ, and lime) was named after Patrick Swayze’s character in Point Break. See the full menu below and let our slideshow be your early tour of the 162-seat (Wi-Fi equipped!) dining room, complete with flat-screen TVs playing surfing videos at each table. She’ll be open weekdays from 11 a.m. till 2 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. till 2 a.m., with delivery seven days a week till 11 p.m.
