Bistro Luneta Closes in San Mateo

It’s come to our attention that two-and-a-half-year-old Bistro Luneta, which Patricia Unterman once praised as making Filipino cuisine more “familiar” for outsiders, has shuttered in downtown San Mateo. The space (615 East 3rd Avenue) is up for grabs on Craigslist for $169,000, including a full liquor license, with claims that $475,000 was spent on renovating it in recent years. You heard it here, budding chef-owners. San Mateo is kind of booming right now. [Grub Street]
