A Tale of Two Night Markets

David Chang must not have dropped too many F-bombs as host of last year’s Luckyrice Night Market, because the Asian-food fest has asked the Momofuku chef to headline again this year. There are still tickets left for the event, which takes place May 4 under the Manhattan Bridge archway in Dumbo and features 50 grub purveyors, from rice balls to Morimoto. Speaking of moonlit markets, a group called Brooklyn Night Bazaar is looking to fund its Kickstarter project, a weekend-night affair on the Brooklyn waterfront that would run from May to September, with food vendors, beer and wine, arty stuff to buy, and performances. Sounds sort of like a Brooklyn Flea for night owls — with booze! Pledge your support here.
