A Look into Kachi Deli Cafe & Grill, Doubling Down in Downtown

For some reason, Kachi Deli Cafe and Grill has opened a second space just a block away from its first on Wilshire, which is still operating as normal. No matter, the new soft-opened location is completely cute, with a patchwork collection of crafts and handmade art-work that makes it look as if someone here used Amy Sedaris’ last book for good, not evil. The menu at this Argentine deli and cafe is basically the same, there’s a selection of healthy breakfast options and espresso, a juice and smoothie bar, a long list of salads, and a small, daily selection of quiche, frittatas, and empanadas. Paninis include a BLT, a chicken Chinese wrap, and classic Italian flavors, while the specialties are more guacho-derived with a milanesa plate, steak sandwich, and half-pound burger. The rest of the menu is pasta dishes priced around ten bucks, with a “drunk sausage” brandy and tomato sauce pasta and vegetarian eggplant nido. Check out our slide show of the new Kachi Deli Cafe and Grill, it’s open now and looks pretty precious.
