We’re not surprised to learn that Stephen Starr named his new Brit-ish pub The Dandelion after the Rolling Stones song of the same name, as he tells Hadas Kuznits in this Hear Philly interview. After all, before restaurants Starr was a self-made music mogul. As a kid he convinced Mott the Hoople to play at his high school, and as a concert promoter in the 80s, he gave acts like Pat Benatar, Madonna and U2 their first gigs in Philly. What does surprise us is, in the interview he treats Kuznits to a couple lines from the song’s chorus, and he’s actually got a pretty good set of pipes. Here’s hoping he names a future restaurant “All the Young Dudes.”
