El Segundo’s Vinny’s Pizza, which closed on Main Street last summer after becoming the beer garden-toting Rock & Brews under new owners (sort of a lo-fi version of The Rolling Stone restaurant due soon in Hollywood), is coming back to life tomorrow. Known for hand-tossed, thin-crust pizza, huge calzone, forgettable red sauce pasta, and a slice of New York ‘tude, Vinny’s is resurfacing next to Stix & Straws tomorrow morning and tells Grub Street they’ve cut the menu in half just to focus on their “best-sellers,” with a display of about ten pizzas per day. While diners are still encouraged to eat in the restaurant, take-out and delivery will have a heavy focus.
