One of last year’s biggest bummers was news that American Blackboard, the effort by Tim McGinnis to transform Philly Kitchen Share into a more traditional, sit-down restaurant that emphasized house-cured meats and other artisan specialties, was dead in the water. So needless to say, Grub Street was happy to hear from Meal Ticket’s Adam Erace that McGinnis has landed a new gig as the top toque at E. Passyunk Ave’s forthcoming prepared foods spot Plenty. In addition to housemade deli meats and other lunchy munchies, at Plenty McGinnis will revive his popular Spinal Tapas dinners.

Michael Solomonov, the chef and co-owner of Zahav, Xochitl and Percy Street Barbecue, has landed a pretty sweet side gig on Nutrisystem’s Chef Culinary Council, which sound like something straight out of Superfriends, the Insider reports. Similarly, the Insider also has the scoop on Paradiso’s Lynn Rinaldi cooking up recipes for Atkins.
