Chef Tim Kilcoyne, owner of Ventura’s longstanding Sidecar Restaurant, opens his new slow-food spot next Tuesday, a seasonal cafe where wood-fired pizza, sandwiches on freshly baked bread with house-made ketchup, and the chef’s line of fruit preserves will all be included and priced under twelve bucks. And to belabor the point of the whole thing beyond the use of local woods in the oven, he’s even calling it The Local Cafe. We get it Tim!
