Oakland: Southie (6211 College Avenue), the next-door sandwich shop from the Wood Tavern folks that we mentioned earlier, opens officially tomorrow (Tuesday). [Scoop]

Mission: The Bon Vivants (Scott Baird and Josh Harris), who will be opening a bar called Trick Dog later this year in the same development as the Flour + Water team’s Central Kitchen, are doing a special five-course cocktail pairing dinner on February 8 in F+W’s private Dough Room. Seats will disappear fast, with only ten available at $150 a pop, so email a res here. [Facebook]

South Beach: Public House is doing something new for the Super Bowl: You can reserve a table to watch the game on one or more of their 25 big screens on February 6. Email your reservation to events@publichousesf.com, and you’ll be asked to pre-pay a food and beverage minimum based on party size and table location. [Grub Street]

Union Square: La Boulange is opening up their tenth location in the recently closed Loehman’s at 222 Sutter. [Scoop]

Also, Grand Café is extending their Dine About Town menu, the $35 prix fixe, throughout the month of February. The same goes for the $18 lunch prix fixe. [Grub Street]

Sebastopol: P/30 has shuttered just a week after celebrating its first anniversary. Owners Patrick and Christine Tafoya cite wanting to spend more time with their kids, but the location might have also been a struggle to overcome. [BiteClub]
