Good news from the Venture Cafe, the Kendall Square salon where scientists, developers, engineers, and other smart people pitch start-up ideas, host meet-ups, and share wisdom. According to their website, they’re negotiating a lease in Kendall Square at One Broadway, where they’ll operate a real-live Euro-style cafe/restaurant. (A Domino’s Pizza is there now.) Central Kitchen’s Gary Strack, who’s also spearheading nearby Firebrand Saints, will handle the food. The team goes before the Cambridge Board of Zoning Appeals today. Note: They offer “place-based social networking for Boston’s start-up set.” At last, one restaurant where we’ll never have to eavesdrop on dinner conversation about the Real Housewives.
