Rolling Stone Restaurant Set to Open Feb. 1st, But The Coolest Part Is Probably Already Here

Speaking of restaurants geared towards easily impressed tourists, it’s been well over a year since we first made fun of covered the forthcoming restaurant from Rolling Stone magazine. Originally slated for summer, then delayed until fall, Luxist tells us this one’s finally opening to the public (as opposed to just Ke$ha, Kid Rock, and friends) on February 1st (Update: the restaurant has been delayed yet again from this date). Not a lot of other new details, just the same talk about how revolutionary the interior design is going to be. And really, this still sounds about as cool as another Hard Rock Cafe, but the best part of the restaurant might already have been here for the last few months. Wanna see?

The Stairs leading away from Rolling Stone Restaurant

This above staircase leading down from the new space is pretty awesome, we have to admit, collaging different iconic covers to complete the images of Jay-Z and John Belushi’s grills and reminding us of Ice-T’s “Cop Killer” cover, in which Ice dressed up like police amid The Body Count controversy. And not only does it look pretty rad, it will also serve as much needed escape route to get away from this place and the epicenter of tourist hell. Anyway, a website is under construction, with a menu soon to come.
