Maybe to avoid attracting any more attention to its remarkably familiar name and concept, Napa Grill opened quietly on January 9th in Westlake Village. So far, we haven’t seen an army of lawyers storm its gates, but we’ll be the first to let you know when the day comes. Now on to the food and menus.
The restaurant is still working on a website, but so far promises regularly changing menus as per the farmers market and a selection of tapas, burgers, pizza, salads, and sandwiches, as well as dishes like hand-cut tuna tartare on avocado, seared diver scallops with parmesan risotto, Hudson Valley duck confit on Tuscan kale, and braised lamb shank, as well as more than 75 wines heavy on the California output.
And just in case any enterprising young law students want to get a head start on the proceedings, here’s the menu for Napa Grill, as opposed to the one from Napa Valley Grille. Compare and contrast at your leisure.
