Mark Steuer Leaves The Gage to Open The Bedford

The opening frenzy continues: Mark Steuer, who was the executive sous chef at The Gage, will be leaving the Loop restaurant to open his own place called The Bedford. According to the 312 Dining Diva, it’ll be located in the Wicker Park/Ukrainian Village area. This isn’t the first time Steuer had planned on opening his own restaurant. In 2009 a proposed restaurant fell through “due to funding issues,” but with the slightly better economic times, he decided to again make the jump. We wish him the best of luck.
