Combining a quick trip to El Pollo Loco and a can of greens, Tony Pierce explored diet-friendly soul food this week in the L.A. Times. Now Quarry Girl reports that Larkin’s, the southern favorite in Eagle Rock, has a new green menu that offers voluminous vegan options. Surely, soy chicken pot pie, cheeseless mac, and bbq portobello will piss off purists, but someone’s going to need to counter the damage to be done by Spring Street Smokehouse’s upcoming rib-battle.
