La Sonrisa, our favorite empanada purveyors from the Hester Street Fair (try the pulled pork), writes to say that it’s launched a food truck in Jersey City. The truck bravely debuted last week in the snow, serving a menu of savory empanadas including beef, pulled pork, roast chicken, and veggie, plus sliders and a saffron-rice bowl with guandules (pigeon peas) and the option to add either chicken or pork.

The mobile eatery is on the street Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and you can follow the exact location via La Sonrisa’s Twitter. Meanwhile, Midtown Lunch has deets today on the Feed Your Hole truck, serving burgers and hot dogs the “Old New York Way,” which involves housemade condiments and names like “the sloppy wiener.”
