Here’s one we’re dying to see: John Sedlar’s Playa, the Rivera chef’s more casual pan-Latin restaurant taking over the old Grace space with a few new spice stencils and cocktails by Julian Cox. LAist reports that the opening could come as soon as February 4th as final renovations are being made on the Beverly Blvd. restaurant. We’d originally hoped for an October debut of what was then called R26, making us curious how much the concept has changed since the news first broke. [LAist]
