Poe’s Kitchen at the Rattlesnake will host its first-ever Burrito Bowl as a kind of spicy precursor to Super Bowl XLV. A medley of Boston chefs will compete for the title of Best in Burrito. The task? Each chef must create a burrito inspired by their favorite NFL team. More info ahead.

Competitors include Corey Comeau (Stephanie’s on Newbury); Jose Duarte (Taranta); Andy Husbands (Tremont 647); Jason Hutchinson (Boloco); Erwin Ramos (Olé Mexican Grille); Jason Santos (Gargoyles on the Square); and Brian Poe with the home field Rattlesnake advantage. We’re thinking the guys who actually run Mexican restaurants might have a bit of an edge here.

The competition happens on Saturday, February 5 at 1 p.m.; you’ll pay $15 for a chance to vote for your favorite burrito creation. But will Bill Belichick be on hand to make a peanut butter and jelly burrito?
