While Ferran and Albert Adrià show off their forthcoming tapas emporiums, we’ve gotten word that Ferran will release another cookbook, and his first for the casual home cook, The Family Meal: Home Cooking at ElBulli. Phaidon will publish the $29.95 hardcover this fall. As the title implies, the 100 “simple, seasonal, quick” recipes, illustrated with hundreds of photographs, were inspired by the restaurant’s three-course family meals. And we’re not talking improvised spaghetti dishes here — a rep tells us Adrià, true to form, plans the daily menus and recipes at the beginning of each season. So there you have it: If you didn’t score reservations for ElBulli’s final season, you can finally taste the dishes that wouldn’t have been served to you even if you had gotten in.
