Sure, Green Bay isn’t the home of deep dish or Chicago style hot dogs, but Wisconsin does have some admittedly delicious cheese. So why did Steve Dolinsky decide that it was the right time to pick his favorite cheese shops in the city? Well, apparently he did it so he could drop more cheese jokes in one paragraph than we thought was humanly possible. Here’s a sample: “Wanna know what really gets my GOAT? The notion that the yahoos from the Fox GRUYERiver Valley have a more plentiful supply of high-quality cheese than we do in Chicago. No WHEY!” Though it seems almost secondary, Pastoral picks up the top spot. Just don’t go expecting to find any large cheese hats. [WBEZ]
