You’d think it would’ve happened sooner (like, during Thanksgiving), but Marc Forgione tells us that from January 19 until the end of the month, his eponymous restaurant will be serving the Thanksgiving-themed menu that won him the title of Next Iron Chef. As Forgione previously explained, the meal didn’t include turkey, since “there was not turkey at the first Thanksgiving, which was called the harvest festival. I was trying to honor the first people that came to this country and survived the first few winters.” Here’s the $89 tasting menu.
Native Sweet Potato Soup, Dayboat Cod, Littleneck Clams, PEI Mussels
LI Duck Sausage, Cornbread, Dried Currant Reduction, Micro Watercress, Swiss Chard
Lobster Tail, Sunchoked Spinach, Leeks, Smoked Cedar
