CNN offers up the news that food co-ops are a growing trend nationwide, and yet … their coverage only focuses on Brooklyn. They highlight the Park Slope Food Co-Op, which dates back to 1973 and is so popular they’re starting to limit the number of members they accept, and the Bay Ridge Food Co-Op. But that’s pretty much it. We know there are a lot of other co-ops out there and places that would probably appreciate them — this bare-bones co-op directory site is a good place to start — but CNN’s Richard Roth clearly could not be bothered to leave town.
