Bayview: Though there was talk of Brown Sugar Kitchen’s Tanya Holland opening a second restaurant elsewhere in Oakland, it seems her plans have shifted to the Bayview, where she’ll be opening a new restaurant by summer in the 5800 Third Street complex where Limon Rotisserie’s also headed. [Scoop]

SoMa:
Hapa SF and its chef William Pilz will be parked outside Bar Basic (510 Brannan) tonight, serving up modern Filipino fare. Orders taken at the bar, Filipino-inspired cocktails will be paired, and service starts at 5 p.m. [Grub Street]

Mission: Foreign Cinema is hosting a special four-course winemaker dinner on February 17 with Tim Mondavi of Continuum Estate. Cabernet fans should sign up — there are only 25 seats available, at $100 a pop. Call 415.648.7600 to reserve. [Grub Street]

Outer Richmond/Little Russia: Some changes may be afoot at Georgian restaurant Café Sadko (2229 Clement Street), with new owners applying for a liquor license with no business name. The place remains open as-is however. [Grub Street]

Oakland: It’s Restaurant Week across the Bay, check it out. It includes deals that are even better than Dine About Town, like $30 for three courses at Bay Wolf. [Oakland Chamber]

Napa: Chefs Curtis Di Fede and Tyler Rodde of Oenotri used their winter break to take a research trip to Sicily. They’ve already added specials to the menu inspired by the trip like a pizza Trapanese, with pecorino cheese, confit garlic, and marjoram. [Napa Valley Register]
