Today Zagat confirms rumors that Keith McNally will open a clone of his Paris-style Soho bistro, Balthazar, in London. With Pulino’s investor Richard Caring brokering the deal, the duo hopes to make that happen roughly this time next year. Meanwhile, a rep for Spice Market e-mails Grub Street with the news that Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s popular Asian concept will also land in the U.K. capital, at the upcoming W Hotel Leicester Square. Like the meatpacking Spice Market, the restaurant will be bi-level, and glitzy-sounding design details include “a stunning ‘birdcage’ gold spiral staircase and 600 custom-designed shimmering wok lamps.”
