Update on Jones, Which Will Begin Serving Some Food (and Brunch) Next Week

It’s been a long road for Jones (620 Jones Street), which despite opening for weekend cocktails in mid-October has not quite ramped up to fully opening its indoor space and restaurant area following some construction delays. The furniture is still on its way in, and partner Shanan Carney tells Grub Street that the next “opening,” with happy hour bites from consulting chef Ola Fendert, will be on Friday, December 17, with the full food menu on its way in the new year. Also starting on the 19th will be Sunday brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The indoor spaces will obviously be essential during the winter months, despite the spacious and lovely patio that will be a prime destination as soon as things warm up again.

There’s no official, open-to-the-public New Year’s Eve party on the docket, but the bar hours starting next weekend will be 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., closing at midnight on weeknights.

Check back here for menu details as they arrive.
