By the way, Oaxaca isn’t the only Mexican spot that’s expanding. Yesterday Zagat Buzz brought news that Toloache will open an outpost “somewhere in the East ‘80s” a few months from now, and Midtown Lunch noticed that another location is coming to Maiden Lane between Gold and William (as early as December 9, according to Zagat). Meanwhile, at the original Toloache (and also at both Yerba Buena and Yerba Buena Perry), Julian Madina will be serving a Hanukkah menu including potato-jalapeño latkes with horseradish cream, as well as zucchini latke with tomatillo apple salsa, a Mexican ricotta, and a chipotle-and-agave-nectar sauce.
