This Just In: Upper Crust Manager Alleges Retaliation

Add this to the list of Upper Crust’s woes: The Globe is reporting that a former operations manager for the beleaguered pizza chain filed a lawsuit that accuses the company of retaliating against him after he tipped off the Labor Department to wage and hour violations. Per the story, former manager Patrick Joyce says owner Jordan Tobins falsely accused him of robbing the Commonwealth Avenue branch, reduced his final paycheck by hundreds of dollars, and threatened to kill him. What a feel-good Christmas story! Kind of makes the antics at Jacob Wirth seem mild, huh? We’ll keep you posted. [Globe]
