Previously troubled Noe Valley wine store Urban Cellars, which had their liquor license suspended a couple of times, appears to have vanished into thin air in the middle of the night. Neighborhood denizens noted a posting by the landlord about uncollected rent, and the store’s contents were all magically gone one day. [Noe Valley SF]
In other food and beverage retail shuttering news, Delano’s markets, which are all closing very soon, are currently offering 40% just about everything on the shelves. Most perishable stuff is already cleaned out — and the liquor section in the Castro location may have been the first thing to get wiped out — but you can still get some good deals on earthquake kit items and the like.
