Next Big Small Brand Finalists … Revealed!

The finalists are out for the second annual Next Big Small Brand contest, and refreshingly, they’re not all from Brooklyn! Despite that borough’s clear artisanal-food supremacy, this crop of foodiepreneurs hails from as far and wide as Manhattan and New Jersey. Each finalist will have a video made by Food Curated’s Liza de Guia, which will help judges, including chef Michael Anthony of Gramercy Tavern, Brooklyn Flea co-founder Eric Demby, and others pick a winner. Among the prizes is a free month at the Flea.

And now, the finalists!

Brooklyn Cured

Liddabit Sweets

Sweet Loren’s

La Newyorkina

Bombay Emerald Chutney Company

Some you’ve doubtless encountered, and others are probably new to you (chutney, anyone?). Check out their websites above and know that if you attend the January 12 judging festivities at Brooklyn Winery, you’ll have a chance to cast a people’s choice ballot. Your $20 admission also buys samples, snacks from Radish, a glass of wine, and the opportunity to forever change the face of artisanal food by voting for someone who isn’t based in Brooklyn! Um, just kidding. Tickets here.
