La Seine Plans December 28th Opening With Chef Alex Reznik

We stopped by restaurant row’s 14 La Cienega Blvd. today to check in on La Seine, finding owner Laurent Masliah (of Rodeo’s closed A Cow Jumped Over the Moon) preparing for a December 28th debut, with the manager hilariously telling Grub Street, “we’re tired of being closed.” The bigger news is that talented Russian-American chef Alex Reznik, formerly of Cafe Was and more recently Top Chef D.C., will head the kitchen here. In expected locavore style, Reznik will utilize organic meats and ingredients, though this time he’s preparing contemporary French cuisine with Asian accents, with selections for both carnivores and vegetarians. The restaurant will also be kosher, so just about everyone’s needs are being cared for here, which is way more Californian than Parisian, but appreciated. Check out the restaurant’s website and get ready for Reznik’s return at the end of the month.
