In the midst of all that holiday cheer, we missed the announcement last week of Joe Wojciechowski as the new chef at Pensiero Ristorante in Evanston. He most recently came from Sopa in Highwood, and before that he worked at Restaurant Michael in Winnetka. This caps an amazingly tumultuous year for the Italian restaurant. So far it has closed, reopened, and blown through three executive chefs in the past six months. We wish Wojciechowski the best of luck. [Chicago Magazine]
