Todd English’s Daughter Is So Excited About Her New Cupcake Shop That It ‘Almost Hurts’

Eons ago, we brought you news of young Isabelle English’s plans to open her very own cupcake shop in Boston’s Beacon Hill neighborhood, under the umbrella of dad Todd English’s restaurant group. The venture is called Isabelle’s CurlyCakes, and it’s now set to open in mid-December.

In the interim, she’s been selling her cupcakes at New York City’s Plaza Food Hall. But at last the 16-year-old, an avid baker, will open up shop at 81 Charles Street. (Previously, her cupcakes were available in Boston via special order at Todd’s Olives restaurant in Charlestown.) To be clear, the new store is technically a Todd English endeavor, even though the project is, per a release, her brainchild. Flavors include Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup with chocolate peanut butter cream frosting, rich Red Velvet with white chocolate cream cheese frosting, and Triple Chocolate with ganache-filled coco puff sprinkles. Yum!

According to Isabelle, she’s so excited that it “almost hurts,” and she wants to thank her “big man” for making her cupcake dreams come true. Unrelated: The cupcakes are a favorite of Katie Holmes.
