A peak inside the lobster roll.

Though it won’t be open for a few more months, chef Giuseppe Tentori braved the 23 degree weather and joined Matt Maroni on the Gaztro-Wagon today for lunch. On offer was a $12 lobster roll with clam chowder. Now, people do this from time to time, jumping on the truck to test out some new items. But this also happened to be the first peek at the food Tentori is planning to serve at his upcoming seafood joint, GT Fish & Oyster. So we also bundled up and set out for Grand and Wells to see for ourselves.

The lobster roll is served on a grilled hot dog bun, which is the traditional way its done in Maine. Though we honestly have to admit to being familiar with it thanks to Franks ‘n’ Dawgs. The lobster meat inside was flavored with a variety of herbs, and didn’t have too much mayonnaise. Included was also a little cup of clam chowder, which was warming and heavy, and absolutely perfect for the frigid weather. But it also had a tinge of heat. Check out the food for yourself below.
