‘Enchanted Forest’ Pays Tribute to Floyd Cardoz, Hosts Cocktail Alchemists

Last week, you may have seen mysterious performances in the window at 350 Bowery; this week, Hendrick’s gin fully opens its so-called Enchanted Forest of Curiosities for a series of “fireside chats.” Tonight, Tabla chef Floyd Cardoz will be celebrated via “a series of unusual and delightful performances, including interpretive readings of his recipes, songs and a whole host of unusual activities.” On Wednesday, the French Culinary Institute’s mad mixologist Dave Arnold will demonstrate “cocktail alchemy,” and there’ll be a performance of the “pianocktail” (a piano that mixes drinks); and tomorrow New York co-hosts an evening of “twisted tales” from the Upright Citizens Brigade. Good luck RSVPing for these events and more at the pop-up’s website, and below, take a peek inside the space, complete with a bar inside of a tree trunk — next week it turns into an open-to-the-public crafts fair, open from 4 p.m. till 9 p.m. daily and co-hosted by Bust magazine.
