Bru’s Wiffle opened the day after Thanksgiving on Wilshire and 24th in Santa Monica. The business was started by Turkish-born Ebru Fidan with the goal of reinventing the Belgian waffle, which is the star-attraction here, taking the place of buns on sliders and as a crust for pizza, and providing a base for breakfast scrambles, chicken curry salad, and dessert. The shop, which also offers a la carte servings like meatballs, salad, mixed fruit, Turkish coffee, and strawberry, ginger, and watermelon lemonade, is full of personality, with a giant fork on the wall, flowers peeking out of Perrier bottles, an anthropomorphic waffle logo, and yellow pastel walls. Check out our slide show below to see both the food and space at Bru’s Wiffle and find a full menu online.
