Daniel Patterson’s still new Oakland eatery Plum launches lunch on Wednesday afternoon, featuring a few selected soup, salad, and sandwich options including that oxtail-and-beef-cheek burger we mentioned, and one very enticing grilled cheese sandwich with dandelion salsa verde and the optional addition of house-made sausage. The hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, and weekend lunch/brunch will be added in the spring when the next-door bar is now slated to be open.
