The space that once housed Movida has been vacant for a few years now, and was at one point for sale at $3.5 million. The property manager had sought to fill it with a Starbucks or a CVS, but according to Flo Fab, it’ll get a far more dignified occupant. Galen Zamarra of (Mas) Farmhouse, which expanded a while ago, will open Mas (La Grillade) in early summer. It’ll feature a “simple, ingredient-driven a la carte menu to take advantage of a wood-burning grill.” Meanwhile, around the corner from Seventh Avenue South, PX This hears “unconfirmed reports” that ex-Morandi chef Jody Williams is doing something in the old Pink Tea Cup space at 42 Grove.
