First Look at the New Veritas, Reopening Its Wine Cellar Tomorrow

After suddenly closing Veritas in August and teaming up with former Tao chef Sam Hazen, Park B. Smith will reopen his Flatiron wine destination tomorrow. As promised, the focus is still on wine (to the tune of more than 3,000 selections), but the à la carte and bar menus, executed by chef de cuisine Alexander Williamson (formerly of Morimoto and Gramercy Tavern) will be “softer priced.” (See the menus below.) Just like Hazen’s former Tao boss Rich Wolf is doing over at Beauty & Essex, there’ll even be duck-fat fries! There are cocktails, too, but the space’s redesign hammers home the whole wine thing. Check out the new look via our slideshow.
