The Market at Santa Monica Place still sounds like the coolest component, even if you now have to wait until spring 2011 for its arrival. The good news is that four more locals are being added, with a few recognizable names helping round out this wanna-be Ferry Building. But unlike the rest of the Dining Deck, this part will not be mostly composed of San Franciscan vendors. Who’s in?

In addition to previously mentioned depots for Curious Palate and King’s Road Cafe, a press release announces the inclusion of Venice’s N’Ice Cream, West Hollywood’s Venokado wine bar, and Rockenwagner Bakery, who will add a soufflé station where the cakes will be baked live. And speaking of very French things coming to The Market, Ultimate Cake-Off contestant and headmistress of Gourmandise Desserts, Clemence Gossett, will start The Gourmandise School of Sweets and Savories and Community Kitchen with classes, chef demos, and events spread among two teaching kitchens. More to look forward to, now somebody please get the blasted thing open already!
