Jeff Cerciello Lets Us Eat Cake Before FarmShop Opens

Jeff Cerciello, the Keller confidant whose forthcoming FarmShop in Brentwood we’ve been jocking since last spring, is getting ready to open his first restaurant in the next few weeks, most likely in late-November or early December (Squid Ink says to be prepared for a November 22nd soft-opening). The opening will be staggered, with coffee-service and a bakery coming first to the Country Mart space, followed by breakfast and lunch service, then dinner, and lastly the market component. The market will include a butcher, charcuterie, cheese selection, prepared foods, and an array of wine and beer. But before we get to his daily-changing, farm-sourced menus, he and partner Michel Darmon are offering a first taste in time with Thanksgiving.

FarmShop is currently taking orders for three flavors of pies and two types of cake, all made-from-scratch using locally sourced ingredients. For pie-lovers, there’s a classic pumpkin, plus a Crispin apple and cranberry pie, and one filled with pecans and chocolate chip, all priced from $27-$29. The cake selection is shorter, featuring a $28 pumpkin-pecan with spiced orange glaze, and a cinnamon crumb coffee cake priced at $22.

Orders can be made at 310-566-2400 or over email and pickups will occur before noon on Thanksgiving Day.
